Yes, finally!! My cast was removed, just a couple hours after my sister took that picture. It was the most wonderful feeling, the first few seconds after the nurse sawed it off. With how much I exercise, and the time of year it is, when the weather is warmer, the cast was extremely sweaty, saturated in sweat..eew! I know! Such a relief to get the thing off! Thankfully, the doctor said that the bone that broke, could not have healed any better, which is a great!
Although not the best picture..it was supposed to be me kissing my cast good-bye. In case it's not that clear :)
Since it's been removed, I've been enjoying doing all the activities that I missed while my wrist was broke. Jump roping, doing pilates, showering without worrying about water getting my cast wet through the annoying bag that I had to use, and especially playing my musical instruments, mainly the violin. It's sooooooooo nice to be able to play again! No, it's not painless. In fact, I have to take it really easy when practicing the violin, so there isn't any permanent damage done, and there is a lot of discomfort and some tinges of pain at times. I'm thankful for the fact that it should all disappear in time. God is good!
Well there's the update! Thanks for all your wonderful prayers, e-mails, and comments when I broke my arm, they were appreciated :)

So glad to hear you got your cast off and your wrist is doing well!!

ReplyDeleteYay for getting it off! I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to live with it!
ReplyDeleteI pray God helps make the finishing touches on its full recovery speedy! =D
That's great that your cast is off! I was never much of a dare-devil in High School because I didn't ever want to wear a cast. :) So I always took the ski slopes nice and easy. I just was telling a friend that I wasn't a dare-devil and she said that she was but she had never broken anything. Haha!!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm me, I'm going to say what first came into my mind... OOOHHH she's sooo pretty in that pic! :D
